The Starlink Growth team combines deep analysis, business strategy, and operational excellence to drive customer retention, improve lifetime value, and scale the business.As an Operations Engineer, you will drive meaningful initiatives that improve how Starlink operates. You will identify problems, develop practical and scalable solutions, collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, and use data to inform decisions that support Starlink’s growth, profitability, and operational effectiveness.RESPONSIBILITIES:Apply process improvement methodologies (process mapping, problem solving, visual management, lean principles) to improve self-service, accelerate resolution, and help scale processes across customer experience, logistics, accounting, supply chain, and other teamsIdentify engineering and operational issues, determine root causes, and develop solutions for both immediate mitigation and longer-term improvementDevelop and maintain data analysis and tracking tools to monitor customer experience and internal operational performanceCoordinate with cross-functional partners (design, engineering, software, sales, marketing, customer service, logistics, accounting, etc.) to create effective feedback loopsPartner with leadership and stakeholders to support project prioritization, resource allocation, and sustainability of solutionsManage projects and execute to aggressive timelines while clearly communicating progress and influencing stakeholdersPartner with design, engineering, logistics, and operations teams on new product, feature, and process rollouts by participating in design reviews, supporting beta programs, and creating educational materialsCodify knowledge and best practices for customer-facing and internal systems and keep documentation current and usefulDemonstrate ownership, bias for action, and a focus on building practical solutions that can scaleBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or STEM field2+ years of experience in an operations, process improvement, manufacturing, and/or consulting environment2+ years of experience with Excel, SQL, and PythonPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Experience working successfully in environments with competing priorities and aggressive schedulesExperience contributing to or leading operational and process improvement initiativesProficiency with statistics, data analysis, and data visualizationAbility to define, manage, and execute projects independentlyExperience with lean, Six Sigma, or related process improvement principlesExperience with programming/scripting languages (Python, SQL, R, JavaScript, or similar)Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with managers and cross-functional partnersBias for action, ownership mindset, and history of delivering practical, scalable solutionsStrong interpersonal skills with experience collaborating on or mentoring within small project teamsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as neededWillingness to travel up to 50%ITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
