Director of Sales — Commercial Construction
Key screening question:
“What $2M–$5M+ commercial construction projects have you personally brought in, and what relationships generated them?”
Growing Texas-based commercial GC with operations in Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio is building out its sales team.
Ideal candidate:
Proven commercial construction sales leader with experience winning $2M–$5M+ ground-up projects.
Strong relationships with national restaurant/retail chains (Chipotle, Panera, Starbucks, etc.).
Has personally originated significant projects and can show what they’ve brought in.
Experience building and managing a sales team, ideally from a competing GC.
Strong hunter/relationship -builder who can create their own pipeline and grow the company’s brand.
Compensation:
$150K base, with flexibility to $180K–$200K for the right person.
2–3% commission on personal production + ~1% override on team production.
No benefits currently.
