Quality Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and strengthen our manufacturing quality function. The Quality Manager will develop and maintain the Quality Management System, ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and drive continuous improvement across production and supply chain. This role combines hands-on problem solving with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration to deliver consistent, high-quality products on time and within cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant documentation to meet company, customer and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001 and industry standards).
• Lead, mentor and manage the quality team: set objectives, conduct performance reviews, provide training and ensure effective day-to-day operation of incoming, in-process and final inspection activities.
• Plan and execute internal audits and coordinate external audits; manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and follow-up to closure.
• Drive root cause analysis and problem solving (8D, RCA); implement corrective actions and verify effectiveness to reduce defects and prevent recurrence.
• Partner closely with manufacturing and engineering to identify process improvements, reduce variability, and implement control plans, FMEAs, and poka-yoke solutions.
• Monitor and report quality metrics (PPM, DPU, NCR trends) and present findings to leadership; establish targets and action plans to meet quality performance goals.
• Manage supplier quality: assess and qualify suppliers, conduct supplier audits, oversee incoming inspection criteria, and manage supplier corrective actions (PPAP where applicable).
• Oversee customer quality activities including complaint handling, returns, nonconformance investigations, and warranty analysis; act as primary quality contact for key customers.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across manufacturing to improve yield, throughput and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Minimum 5 years experience in quality roles within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, root cause analysis, SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP and PPAP.
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining QMS (e.g., ISO 9001) and leading internal/external audits.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, process control, and continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma); Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or similar certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in quality data analysis and reporting; experience with quality management systems and ERP/MRP software.
• Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent are an advantage.
