Role Responsibilities Diagnose and repair vehicles to meet CarMax’s safety and quality standards Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively Gain hands‑on experience with a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles Perform repairs on engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Deliver exceptional service by meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Required Qualifications Experience in one or more areas: engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning Knowledge of health and safety compliance standards in automotive repair Manual dexterity and physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles safely Hourly Rate For This Position Is $28.00 - $49.00 Benefits Paid sick, vacation, and holiday time as required by state law Full‑time hourly or commission/incentive eligible associates can earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year, and between 80 and 200 hours of vacation time after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service with the Company. 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday; holiday premium pay applies if works on a scheduled holiday due to business need. Full‑time salaried associates are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc., subject to manager approval.
