Site Project Manager

We are looking for a dedicated Site Project Manager who will oversee and manage the successful execution of various projects. The ideal candidate will maintain and adhere to project schedules, budgets, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements while fostering positive relationships with clients and team members.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, develop, and adhere to a project schedule that meets contractual requirements.
  • Oversee the project budget, including invoicing, change orders, purchase orders, subcontracts, and other financial matters.
  • Direct and monitor construction, field engineering, and site material management efforts of the project team.
  • Conduct and coordinate regular project status meetings internally and with the customer.
  • Negotiate scope and schedule of contracts and change orders with owners and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the project team and clients.
  • Conduct meetings with customers as needed, including documenting meeting minutes.
  • Ensure deliverables such as submittals, training, and schedule updates are provided as required.
  • Travel to the project site regularly to evaluate progress and maintain effective communication.
  • Oversee site safety and compliance, providing timely resolutions to identified issues.
  • Communicate safety expectations and importance as an ambassador for safety.
  • Identify critical issues and assist in developing improvement procedures.
  • Act as the point of contact for consultants, suppliers, or other contractors engaged in the project.
  • Subcontract non-material handling trades related to the contractual scope of work.
  • Manage subcontractor work, schedules, and performance of contractual obligations.
  • Provide weekly project status reports covering budget, schedule, quality, and safety to the management team.
  • Resolve field discrepancies, answer subcontractor questions, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Resolve open issues with the customer, monitor feedback, and address complaints in a timely manner.
  • Track inventory of materials, tools, and consumables, and coordinate equipment deliveries.
Essential Skills
  • Strong project management experience, especially in conveyor installations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in construction management.
  • Possession of OSHA 30 certification.
  • Ability to manage site project schedules and work with vendors effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the material handling installation industry is highly preferred.
  • Open to candidates with construction project management experience.
Work Environment

The role will primarily be located at various sites, with working hours varying depending on the installation schedule and contractor meetings. The workweek runs from Monday to Saturday, with an overtime cap of 20 hours unless pre-approved. Travel to the project site is expected, with expenses such as miles, rentals, and airfare covered. Per diem for lodging and meals will be provided based on site locations at GSA rates. The candidate is expected to stay in the same location for the duration of the project, which could last up to five weeks. Travel time is compensated up to 16 hours of straight time for travel days, with mileage paid for personal vehicle use.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $62.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
