Visual Analytics Developer

Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BI & Data Visualization Lead with a minimum of 7 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-level analytics and visualization solutions. This individual will play a critical role in transforming complex data into compelling, actionable insights for business leaders. The ideal candidate is an expert in Power BI, Tableau, data storytelling, dashboard architecture, and visual analytics best practices . Beyond technical expertise, this role requires strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to establish visualization standards across the organization. This position is designed for a high-potential professional who can evolve into our organization's Visualization Architect , leading the future vision, governance, and architecture of enterprise reporting and analytics. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports primarily in Power BI, with occasional Tableau support. Build and optimize DAX measures, calculated fields, and data models using Snowflake. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand underlying business needs and identify additional data or context that improves outcomes. Rapidly prototype and refine solutions with stakeholders before full development. Stay current with new Power BI capabilities and apply them where appropriate. Establish and maintain high-quality dashboard design standards for leadership audiences. Review and mentor other BI developers to strengthen technical and visualization best practices. Basic Qualifications 7 years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or visual analytics. Hands-on experience with both Power BI and Tableau. Strong SQL skills and experience with relational or cloud-based data platforms. Experience building dashboards for business and executive stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Snowflake. Advanced DAX and Power Query expertise. Proven ability to analyze business requirements and recommend improved solutions, including leveraging related datasets when beneficial. Strong dashboard design and visualization skills with a focus on consistency and usability. Experience migrating or converting Tableau solutions to Power BI. Exposure to Power BI Copilot or other AI-assisted BI tools. Experience mentoring BI developers and reviewing their work. Background in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments.
