About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: IVs NGs PICC & Central Line Care Catheter Care Post-operative surgical care for general surgery patients Post-operative surgical care for total knee & hip replacement and hernia repair and colectomy Description: This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on general medicine and surgical patients. The nurse will care for a diverse patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. The unit has a patient ratio of 5:1 and 6:1, with many admissions and discharges during the day shift. Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Experience with IV insertion, tube feeding, and care for patients with conditions such as COPD, diabetes, and strokes is preferred. The role requires teamwork and a proactive approach to patient care. Dress code consists of navy and black scrubs, with restrictions on unacceptable attire such as t-shirts and Crocs. This position requires floating to med/surg areas as needed.
