Store Manager

Seeking an experienced & detail-oriented store manager to lead our Riverton store. You will be responsible for creating a destination experience for people of all ages & families. This role requires a strong enthusiasm to be hands on with everything (operational excellence from the small to the big things), team management for a younger workforce, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, product quality, and helping people enjoy the best dessert in town. Responsibilities Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage a team of 10–25 employees. Foster a positive, fast-paced culture that can handle heavy "rush" periods (especially Friday nights, summer weekends, and holidays). Demonstrate strong organizational skills to train and inspire team to stay at maximum productivity, including strong ability to create and enforce checklists and other documentation. Operational Excellence: Oversee daily opening/closing procedures, cash handling, well-planned inventory management, and minimizing controllable costs (waste, labor). Ensure the shop meets or exceeds all Salt Lake County Health Department regulations. Customer Experience: Handle customer feedback with grace and use it to improve store performance. Maintain a high store reputation for customer experience. Actively market & engage in person with the community. Marketing Support: Coordinate with ownership to execute local store marketing, such as "Spirit Nights" for local schools, community events, or seasonal promotions. Plan for catering special group & community events. Qualifications Experience: demonstrate 2-3+ years of management experience in food service or high-volume retail. Certifications: Current ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain before start date). Must be willing to undergo further store management training depending on experience. Availability: Must be able to work common busy hours, including peak hours in evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours will average 35-50 hours per week. Must be open to answer calls from employees even if not physically at store to help solve problems or answer questions. Tech Savvy: Proficiency with modern POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square) and scheduling software (e.g., Homebase, 7shifts). Physical: Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs (such as large tubs of ice cream). Additional Information This is for a hands‑on position for someone who has strong interaction skills with people.
