URGENT NEED - RUBY Developer" _ REMOTE

Position : Ruby Developer

Location : 100% remote - EST hours
Duration : 3 months to start - long-term will extend until 2024
Interview Process : Video interview

Must Have -

2+ years' of prior experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails
Familiarity with Geospatial Data is required
GeoBlacklight experience ideal - ability to learn
Experience deploying to the Cloud environment (AWS preferred)
Understanding of the OAuth 2.0 standard for authentication.
Understanding of JavaScript, bootstrap, PostGIS or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with GeoServer and Apache/Nginx web server management (certificates, ports, DNS).
Comfortable with Linux command line utilities and standard Git best practices.
Experience cleaning and optimizing data in various forms.

Domain - Academia
Nice to Have -

Experience with Tomcat, Solr, PostgreSQL, MySQL
Familiarity with Geospatial metadata, Geospatial files (shapefile, geodatabase, Lidar data..)
