Due to the rapid growth of our school, advancement opportunities exist for the right candidate. Goldfish Swim School is seeking qualified applications for a Swim Instructor in Stamford, CT. Job summary: The Swim Instructor is responsible for instructing students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Duties and responsibilities:- Provides one-on-one swim instruction with students based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
- Evaluates student progress and submits daily reports.
- Interacts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills. Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure parent satisfaction.
- Maintains and ensures proper storage of all pool equipment. Notifies management of maintenance, cleanliness and damage issues as needed.
- Promotes safety rules and regulations and follows proper accident reporting procedures.
- Attend mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours.
- Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
- Lifeguard certification, must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
- Experience working as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor, camp counselor and/or childcare provider.
