IOP Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp is hiring a phlebotomist in Centreville AL. This position works Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with a one‑hour lunch. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program. 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification must be from an accredited agency if not meeting work experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
