Job Description
RN - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule

36- or 48-hour shifts available. Weekend requirement includes at least 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period. Traveler must be able to work 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day).

Assignment Details

Assignment begins on either 10/12 or 10/26. No RTO within the first 2 weeks of assignment; maximum RTO is 2 weeks total for the assignment.

Requirements

• Active California RN license required at the time of submission (no pending/temp).
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience, with Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in a large facility (approximately 400+ beds) preferred for first-time travelers.
• Telemetry skills including interpretation and cardiac monitoring.
• IV, PICC, and central line care knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and blood products.
• Manage airway and oxygen requirements.
• Conduct routine wound care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccination is required; no exemptions. EKG exam will be administered on the first day of orientation and must be passed to continue on contract. Background checks for any hits require a detailed written statement.
