Forklift Operator

PeopleShare is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Chicago Heights. This role is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating stand-up forklifts and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 6 pm - 6 am +OT

Pay Rate: $20.00

Forklift Operator Job Description

Operate stand-up forklifts (reach truck, narrow aisle, or electric pallet jack) to move product throughout the warehouse
Load, unload, and stack raw materials and finished goods accurately
Pick orders and stage materials for production and shipping
Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning and documentation
Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety issues
Follow all company safety policies, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and OSHA guidelines
Assist with general warehouse duties, including palletizing, shrink wrapping, and housekeeping
Work collaboratively with production, shipping, and receiving teams

Forklift Operator Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum recent 3 year of stand-up forklift experience (Crown preferred)
Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire
Experience in food manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus
Basic math and computer skills (RF scanner experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
