Key Responsibilities

• Administer assessments to patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using a mix of standardized evaluations and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs of patients.
• Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions addressing communication, articulation, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing challenges.
• Work in conjunction with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure integrative care strategies are followed.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support progress outside of therapeutic sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout a patient's journey.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to remain at the forefront of this evolving field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications and Skills

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

• Proficient in contemporary treatment methodologies suitable for individuals of all ages, emphasizing both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Exceptional ability to engage and communicate with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Adaptable to culturally diverse backgrounds and able to modify therapy techniques accordingly.
