Project Coordinator II

Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator provides coordination, scheduling, tracking, and communication support across projects and programs in the R&D Optimization group of the CPTO. The role focuses on operational execution, visibility, and alignment, enabling Program Directors to focus on delivery, decision-making, and strategy.

• Create and maintain schedules, calendars, and timelines for departmental initiatives and projects.
• Track and communicate current and ongoing project status to management and stakeholders.
• Apply methods for monitoring project progress to ensure objectives are achieved and delays are minimized.
• Coordinate communication across internal and external teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support resource coordination by tracking priorities, estimating bandwidth, and highlighting staffing needs to leadership.
• Maintain project-related documentation, logs, and artifacts to support governance and reporting.
• Perform additional coordination and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate level degree or equivalent high school degree and administrative experience

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator
• Extensive Microsoft Office experience (coordinating and following up on Outlook calendars/invites)
• Ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external partners
• Experience supporting technology groups and teams would be a plus
