Senior Fund Accountant

Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr A leading alternative investment fintech/asset manager is seeking an Associate to join its Private Capital Fund Finance team, focused on private equity/private capital fund accounting and administration. This person will partner closely with internal stakeholders, third‑party administrators, and external partners to support fund launches, ongoing operations, and reporting. The role reports to a Vice President, Fund Finance (Private Equity). Key Responsibilities Support new fund launches and onboarding by partnering with internal implementation teams Review feeder fund documents (e.g., LPA/PPM) and operational questionnaires; flag fund finance considerations to internal teams Analyze commitment sizing to underlying funds and review/assess feeder fund expense assumptions Oversee quarterly feeder fund NAV and partners’ capital account statements; help track and report key KPIs Review/sign off on capital calls, distributions, cash analyses, allocation files, and investor notices prepared by third-party administrators and internal team members Participate in internal/external stakeholder meetings and support client interactions, including on-site due diligence as needed Approve/release quarterly management fee payment wires Partner with Technology/Product teams to drive process improvement, automation, and scalability Monitor compliance with partnership agreement terms and operating provisions Oversee annual financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3–6 years of experience in financial services / asset management accounting and operations Experience with alternative investments (PE/private capital/credit/real assets) fund administration or operations is a plus Progress toward or attainment of CPA, CFA, CAIA, MBA is a plus Strong interest in technology/process improvement (automation mindset) Ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to think big-picture Seniority level Not Applicable Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing, Finance, and Administrative Industries Financial Services, Investment Management, and Accounting Location: Salt Lake City, UT #J-18808-Ljbffr Atlas Search
