Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate

Overview A law firm seeks an associate for its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials and a minimum of two years of law firm experience in relevant areas. Responsibilities Advise on employee benefit issues in mergers and acquisitions and financings. Draft and negotiate executive employment, retention, and separation agreements. Design, implement, and administer equity plans and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements. Provide guidance on ERISA plan investments. Develop and manage qualified retirement plans and health and welfare programs. Qualifications Minimum of two years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation. Experience with mergers and acquisitions and financings. Familiarity with ERISA plan investments preferred. Education Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school. Certifications Bar admission in the state of Georgia. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
