Our program offers counseling and therapy services for those living with serious mental illness, general mental health challenges, and substance use concerns. Services address issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, loss, trauma, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation. Outpatient services include flexible office hours, home-based services for children and families, access via public transit, therapy in English and Spanish, and professional staff who utilize evidence-based treatment models.

What Makes You A Great Lead Clinician?

Your knowledge of community mental health systems to deliver recovery-oriented care in homes, community settings, and other field environments. Your ability to assess and recognize DSM-based symptoms in real-time, using sound clinical judgment to guide next steps. Your success providing routine, urgent, and emergent interventions onsite in-field, through telehealth, prioritizing safety, stabilization, and appropriate escalation of care. Your skills in applying American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria to service planning and decision-making when supporting individuals with substance-use needs in hybrid settings. You know how to engage clients where they are, maintaining safety, structure, and therapeutic focus in dynamic, community environments. You communicate clearly and respectfully across cultures, delivering education and de-escalation with professionalism and sensitivity in the field.

How Will You Make An Impact?

You will lead and supervise a team of Case Managers and administrative staff while continuing to provide direct and indirect covered services to clients. You will manage your own assigned caseload, complete assessments, and develop and implement treatment plans, delivering services in both office-based and community settings as needed. You will actively coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective, integrated care and hold accountability for delivering high-quality, client-centered behavioral health services that improve mental health and overall well-being. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, support program development, and collaborate with community partners to strengthen services and outcomes. Lead and develop clinical staff through 1:1 and group supervision, training, and coaching, strengthening clinical practice and client impact. Collaborate with program and clinical leadership to meet productivity and service goals, supporting staff with problem-solving, workflow management, and balanced caseloads. Ensure seamless, coordinated care by facilitating routine staffing, consulting with interdisciplinary teams, and partnering with internal and external providers including delivering services and support in the community when needed. Oversee and complete comprehensive intakes and assessments, consult on psychiatric evaluations, and coordinate care with prescribers, medical providers, labs, and pharmacies. Uphold documentation excellence and compliance, ensuring timely, accurate progress notes, crisis documentation, and meaningful clinical records within required timeframes. Actively engage clients, families, and support systems, providing outreach, re-engagement, crisis de-escalation, culturally responsive care, and appropriate discharge planning both in office and in community settings.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

Education /Background: Masters Degree in a behavioral health related field. Two (2) years of full-time behavioral health work experience. Registered with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) as LAC/LPC, LMSW/LCSW, LAAC/LIAC, or LMFT. Must possess a valid drivers license and the ability to be insured under an automobile insurance policy. Ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card, CPR, and First Aid certification. Must be 21 years of age. Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish preferred. Other Requirements Must maintain professional appearance and demonstrate punctuality and effective time management skills. Customer service-driven with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access). Must successfully complete agency orientation and demonstrate competence in required skills and knowledge. Knowledge and understanding of general mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and serious mental illness. If working with youth, familiarity with behavioral principles in youth treatment and the Arizona Child and Family Team model. Strong verbal and written communication skills, phone etiquette, and organizational abilities. Effective time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks in a multi-tasking environment. Basic typing/computer skills. Flexibility to work a schedule as needed per program requirements. Ability to recognize and solve problems independently and adapt to new approaches. If working with youth, attendance at required Child and Family Team training within one month of employment and participation in ongoing learning.
