Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring intermediate fetal monitoring, ACLS, NRP, and OR Circulator skills.

Details

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit (2nd floor) of a hospital setting with 10 LDRs and 2 OB EDs
• Unit staffed with 24 bedside RNs, including core day shift staff of 3 RNs, 1 scrub tech, and 1 unit secretary
• Patient ratios of 2:1, with high-risk patients at 1:1 or 2:1 if stable
• EMR systems used include CPN (Centricity) and Meditech
• Typical procedures performed include cesarean sections and BTLs/salpingectomies
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with Tuesday start dates
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Floating required to postpartum and medical floor (tech capacity only)

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications required: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and BLS
• OR Circulator experience required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Labor & Delivery
• C-EFM certification preferred but not required
• Bilingual and scrub tech skills preferred
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit supporting high-risk and standard OB cases
• Dress code requires royal blue scrub attire
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
