If you are a Senior Bridge Design Engineer in Minnesota with experience working with MNDOT that aligns with our values, we would love for you to continue reading and apply.What you will do:Perform structural calculations, modeling, analysis, and designPrepare contract documents including plans, specifications, and construction cost estimatesManage and lead multi-disciplinary projects from proposal stage, through design, and design services during constructionReview shop drawings and respond to RFIsDevelop, prepare and review reports and studies to identify and recommend engineering solutionsConducts engineering research and provides technical assistance to consulting engineer, contractors, public officials, municipalities, and others as neededDeliver professional presentationsParticipation in meetings with clients and project team membersConduct quality review of structural calculations and contract documentsStay up-to-date with the state of practice, and integrate innovation and technology in designWhat you will bring:Bachelor’s degree in civil, or structural engineering is required from an ABET accredited universityProgressive experience specific to Bridge/Structural Engineering and working with MNDOTProfessional Engineer’s licenses in Minnesota with 4-10 years of experience. Or ability to obtain PE in MN within 6 monthsProficiency in structural analysis programs such as Midas Civil and familiarity with industry software such as Bentley OpenBridge, AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, and MDXProficiency in structural detailing in MicroStation and AutoCADStrong communications skills, both verbal and writtenEnthusiastic, can-do attitude, and strong team work ethicGood organization skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a project team and exercise independent initiativeAbility to work 40 hours a weekWork is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment, occasional travel or field visits may be required to supportWho We Are: WSB is a design and consulting firm specializing in Transportation, Community Planning, Environmental, Energy, Municipal, and Construction services.
