As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team, this role partners closely with architecture and technology stakeholders to streamline processes, enhance IT operations, and deliver meaningful technology intelligence that supports enterprise strategy, planning, and operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in AI, Python, data modeling, ETL, cloud technologies (AWS), SaaS-based architecture tooling, and process automation with strategic vision and hands-on execution. This leader drives enterprise-grade solutions to complex technology challenges, fosters engineering excellence through strong coding and design practices, develops technical talent, and builds effective stakeholder relationships to remove organizational barriers and advance cross-functional strategic initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct and Technical LeadershipLead and mentor a product team of engineersTranslate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient technical solutionsPartner with stakeholders across product, business, risk, and security functionsProcess EngineeringRedesign architecture operational processes and build automations using AI, process tooling and codeBuild automations to collect business process data and enable an enterprise process intelligence repositoryBuild and deploy process automation solutions on the cloud and with SaaS productsData and Meta Model EngineeringDesign and implement an enterprise meta model graph that acts as a “digital twin” of U.S. Bank’s IT operationsLeverage data transformation tool (e.g. VaultSpeed) to transform data into consumable data products (e.g. gold and silver layers)Integrate and leverage with data analytics capabilities such as Data Bricks and SnowflakeSoftware Engineering & ArchitectureDevelop scalable, maintainable applications using Python and microservices-based architecturesApply secure coding standards and robust data handling practices for regulated environmentsBuild and manage CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing, deployment, and release managementEnforce engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, and documentationArchitecture Tooling and IntelligenceImplement, configure, and augment Enterprise Architecture and Process Mining toolingAnalyze and redesign architecture processesBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience Eight or more years of relevant software engineering experience Five or more years of experience leading a software engineering teamRequired QualificationsHands-on experience with AI technologies (e.g. Claude Code) and modern programming languagesExperience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)Experience with data modeling, data pipelines, and analytics platformsDeep understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture patternsProficiency in Python and microservices-based developmentExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code toolsDemonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience with Architecture and Process Modeling solutionsBackground in financial services or other highly regulated industriesLocation expectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.
