Cloud Architect

In this role as a Cloud Architect, you will contribute to multiple programs supporting the cloud and virtualized deployment of internally-developed solutions across multi-functional teams. You will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud and hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures that enable mission-critical capabilities for the Department of Defense. Working alongside software engineers, platform engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and government stakeholders, you will help modernize how data is deployed, secured, and delivered across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, on-premises, tactical, and distributed computing environments. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical strategy, architect solutions spanning multiple security domains, implement modern DevSecOps practices, and deliver resilient cloud capabilities that directly support the warfighter and the future of distributed maritime operations.

• Design and implement cloud architectures for data aligned to warfighter needs and distributed maritime operations.
• Develop hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures integrating edge nodes and cloud environments.
• Architect solutions across multi-classification environments (TS/SCI, SECRET, UNCLASS), including cloud-based cross-domain considerations.
• Implement and optimize DevSecOps pipelines (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated security scanning).
• Ensure compliance with DoD cloud standards (ILs 4, 5 & 6+), Zero Trust, and RMF requirements.
• Support cloud deployments across environments such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, on-prem, tactical, and on-platform compute.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and stakeholders.
