Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers is seeking an experienced New Patient Scheduling Manager for our multi-specialty oncology practice. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity lead a fast-paced department and ensure patients are scheduled promptly, accurately, with compassion—while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Performance
- Oversee daily scheduling operations, call flow, and referral intake
- Ensure timely, accurate scheduling and reduced patient wait times
- Monitor and improve KPIs (access, accuracy, service levels)
- Analyze data and optimize workflows and staffing
Leadership & Team Development
- Takes initiative and is a pro-active and assertive leader
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff while fostering a positive culture
- Manage team schedules, attendance, and performance
- Drive culture of patient service excellence
Quality & Patient Experience
- Deliver exceptional service to patients and providers
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to policies
- Resolve concerns quickly and professionally
Collaboration & Improvement
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to improve access
- Lead process improvements and support system enhancements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of healthcare management experience
- 3+ years leading a complex or multi-specialty scheduling department
- Strong knowledge of insurance, authorizations, and EMR systems
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience auditing staff performance and production
- Experience monitoring KPI’s
- Experience developing and managing department workflows and processes
- Oncology experience preferred
