We're looking for a dependable, energetic Scent Tech / Dog Bather to join our Houston team. This is a hands-on, physically active role for someone who enjoys working with dogs, moves with purpose, takes pride in doing things the right way, and wants to grow their skills in a team-focused environment.

About the Role

As a Scent Tech, you'll provide the routine hygiene services at the heart of the Scenthound experience. You'll work with dogs throughout the day while completing bathing, drying, nail care, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and other services safely and efficiently.

You do not need to be a groomer to succeed in this role. We provide structured training and hands-on development to help you learn Scenthound's safety, dog-handling, hygiene, and service standards.

What You'll Do

Bathe and dry dogs thoroughly to Scenthound standardsPerform routine hygiene services including teeth brushing, ear cleaning, nail clips and grinds, and other approved servicesPrep dogs for grooming and trimming services when applicableObserve each dog's Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth and accurately complete S.C.E.N.T. ChecksHandle dogs calmly, confidently, and compassionately, including dogs that may be nervous or uncomfortableFollow dog safety, restraint, equipment, and service protocols at all timesManage your individual service schedule with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality and safetyMaintain clean, sanitized, and organized work areas and equipment between dogsSupport teammates when there is space between appointments to keep service flow movingCommunicate and collaborate with the front- and back-of-house teams throughout the day

Experience & Physical Requirements
  • Previous professional dog handling, bathing, grooming, veterinary, kennel, daycare, or pet-care experience is a plus, but not required
  • Comfort working hands-on with dogs throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and safely perform the physical functions of the role
  • Stamina to stand and remain active for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, wet, and sometimes noisy environment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
