Job Overview Our client, a large public-sector healthcare organization in the Oakland, CA area, is seeking an experienced Information Systems Manager to oversee Epic-related information systems, vendor relationships, contract administration, and operational activities. This role partners closely with clinical, operational, financial, and IT stakeholders to ensure effective Epic application management, regulatory compliance, and continuous system optimization.

Job Overview Our client, a large public-sector healthcare organization in the Oakland, CA area, is seeking an experienced Information Systems Manager to oversee Epic-related information systems, vendor relationships, contract administration, and operational activities. This role partners closely with clinical, operational, financial, and IT stakeholders to ensure effective Epic application management, regulatory compliance, and continuous system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Epic-related contracts, subscription services, and third-party vendor agreements
- Support implementation, maintenance, and expansion of Epic applications
- Track contract performance, vendor deliverables, and SLA compliance
- Manage invoice processing, budget tracking, and financial reporting across departments
- Prepare budget forecasts, expenditure reports, and financial analyses
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate professional and administrative staff
- Develop operational and vendor performance reports; identify process improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations
- Serve as a liaison between departments, vendors, and external stakeholders
- Epic EHR - implementation, support, administration, contracting, or procurement (2+ years)
- Contract and vendor management
- Budget management and financial oversight
- Data analysis and reporting tools
- Team leadership and staff supervision (1+ year)
- HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulatory knowledge
- Project management and stakeholder communication
- Experience in large-scale healthcare IT environments
- Familiarity with Epic implementation and optimization initiatives
- Knowledge of clinical workflows and healthcare operations
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
