The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. You will be working in an agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable applications.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary ResponsibilitiesPlan, analyze, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software across the full development lifecycleEmphasize automated testing while performing manual testing as neededDeliver high quality, secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications that enhance the customer experienceFoster a high performance, collaborative engineering environmentMentor and support the development of new and existing team membersPresent and demonstrate solutions to both technical and non technical stakeholdersDesign, develop, and maintain web applications and REST APIsParticipate in peer reviews of solution designs and code to ensure best practices and quality standardsCollaborate with product managers, designers, business analysts, and engineers to deliver innovative solutionsContribute to user story development and task estimation in an Agile environmentAdhere to development best practices while delivering solutions on time and within budgetTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to improve performance and reliabilityYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience as a full stack developer6+ years of experience with Java / J2EE, including modern frameworks and best practices5+ years of experience designing and building RESTful APIs, working with databases, and leveraging Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, etc.)3+ years of experience utilizing Agile / Scrum methodology3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, including cloudnative development and deployment practices3+ years of experience with ReactJSPreferred QualificationsArtificial intelligence (AI)Azure Cloud experience*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment.
