Manufacturing Group Leader

Manufacturing Group Leader role in biologics production at AbbVie's North Chicago facility. Oversees cGMP manufacturing operations, including cell culture, chromatography, filtration, and equipment preparation. Collaborates with engineers on process control and method development using LIMS and automated systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform cGMP manufacturing operations in biologics production facility
- Conduct cell culture processes from vial thaw through production scale
- Execute column chromatography and tangential flow filtration techniques
- Manage inventory levels and ship finished materials
- Sample in-process and raw materials for quality testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Six or more years of GMP-regulated manufacturing experience
- Ability to work independently on complex assignments with high initiative
- Experience developing manufacturing methods and procedures
- Proficiency with LIMS, SAP, and automated control systems
- Cell culture and downstream processing knowledge
