Role Description This full-time, on-site Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is based at Virtus Academy in Florence, SC. The LPN will provide direct nursing care to students, including basic assessments, medication administration, first aid, and support for chronic health conditions under appropriate supervision. Daily responsibilities include monitoring student health needs, maintaining accurate health records, communicating with families and staff about health-related concerns, and supporting compliance with school health policies and state regulations. The LPN will collaborate with school leaders, educators, and external healthcare providers to promote a safe, healthy learning environment and participate in health education and wellness initiatives as needed. Qualifications Current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of South Carolina Demonstrated skills in basic clinical assessment, medication administration, and routine first aid in a school or pediatric setting Ability to maintain clear, accurate health documentation and follow established nursing protocols and school health policies Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, school staff, and healthcare providers Commitment to student safety, confidentiality, and adherence to applicable state and federal health regulations (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA as applicable) Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or community health is preferred CPR and First Aid certification required or obtained upon hire Ability to work on-site throughout the school day, respond calmly in emergencies, and support diverse student needs #J-18808-Ljbffr Virtus Academy
