We are looking for a Medical Technician that is committed to clinical excellence and building a patient-centered culture.Three Crosses Regional Hospital is an advanced independent healthcare organization led by a local team of professionals dedicated to high-quality patient care and being the first choice of patients and providers in the communities we serve.We are dedicated to hiring team members that will adapt to our culture, pride themselves in professionalism, integrity, transparency, two-way communication, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.Job SummaryPerforms medical laboratory procedures and reports results in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.Medical Technologist Job Responsibilities:Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, specimen processing.Performs efficiently and accurately all aspects of lab testing from the pre-analytical phase through analytical and post analytical phases.Participate in proficiency testing, QA, QC and process improvement activities.Perform instrument maintenance.Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.Ensures delivery of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.Revises plan of patient care as needed.Provides compassion to the patient and the patient's family members.Attend staff meetings as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Required: Associate's degree in medical laboratory science, or related field from an accredited institutionRequired: 1-3 years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent clinical laboratory training program.Required: Experience in a hospital laboratory setting or medical related environment.Required: Pass Fit TestRequired: Meet all Employee Health RequirementPreferred: Certification in any of the following: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), AMT (American Medical Technologies), NCA (National Credentialing Agency), or HEW (Health Education & Welfare).Preferred: BLS/CPR certificationPreferred: Phlebotomy certification*Three Crosses Regional Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
