Details Work in the 2 West Med/Surg Cardiology unit of a 30-bed hospital department Care for pre and post-heart cath patients, general Med/Surg patients, and cardiology patients presenting with chest pain, hypertension, and related conditions Patient ratio of 1:6 Uses standard acute care equipment Utilizes Cerner EMR Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Required to work every other weekend No on-call requirements First to float among staff Requirements Active RN license (Standard or Compact) for Alabama currently in hand Current BLS certification (AHA only accepted) Minimum 2 years of recent experience required Med/Surg experience required, Cardiology experience preferred Acute care skills preferred Cerner EMR experience preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care to a mix of cardiology and general Med/Surg patients, including pre and post-cardiac catheterization care Navy scrub color required Candidates should be flexible, dependable, and open to feedback while maintaining a friendly demeanor with staff and patients Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-744105.
