Job Summary


The Writing Center Tutor position is responsible for assisting the Writing Center Director with tutoring services which might include on-campus and online activities; tutoring students from all majors in all areas of the Writing Process; supporting student use of any and all scheduling and information software; developing and conducting workshops as assigned; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Strong aptitude for reading, writing, and teaching others these skills

Preferred Qualifications


1. Minimum of 15 hours or more in English, Writing, or any other closely related field
2. English or English Language Arts major preferred, but all other majors considered
3. Associate's degree (or 60 hours) in English, Writing, or any other closely related field
