Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Madisonville, KY. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, servicing, and refilling fire extinguishers and related fire protection equipment at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include traveling to job sites, performing routine maintenance and safety checks, documenting service work, and ensuring all equipment meets applicable codes and standards. The technician interacts with customers to explain service findings, recommend corrective actions, and schedule follow-up visits as needed. The role also involves maintaining tools and inventory in company vehicles, following safety procedures, and completing accurate service reports and paperwork. Qualifications Ability to perform hands-on mechanical work, including inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire extinguishers and related equipment. Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients on-site. Basic math and problem-solving abilities to diagnose equipment issues and follow service procedures. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for regular travel to customer locations. Ability to work on-site, including lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in field service, fire protection, or a related trade is beneficial.
