Job Description Tennessee State University College of Business invites applications for the position of Unit Academic Advisor. The Undergraduate Academic Advisor in the College of Business provides essential support to students by guiding them in course selection and monitoring their academic progress to ensure they meet graduation requirements. This role includes individual and group advising, developing academic plans, conducting workshops on resources and career development, and collaborating with faculty and staff to enhance the student experience and support retention initiatives. Additionally, the advisor designs and manages student databases, collects statistical data for analysis and reporting, provides general support to faculty and the Office of the Dean, and performs other related duties as assigned. Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
At least 1-2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or related roles in higher education. Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with academic advising models and best practices.
