Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling.
- Install and troubleshoot data, phone, and intercom systems.
- Read plans and follow project requirements.
- Document completed work and report any issues or material needs to the foreman.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
- Build out and dress telecommunications closet racks, including equipment installation, cable organization, and labeling.
Qualifications
- Experience with telecommunications, structured cabling, or low voltage systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and work independently or with a crew.
- Familiarity with cable testing and installation tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
- Experience with school intercom systems, including Valcom or Telecor, is a plus.
