Household Goods/Residential Moving Sales Consultant

Overview The View From the Water Tower The Household Goods/Residential Moving Consultant is responsible for generating new business and managing client relationships within the local Wisconsin market . This role focuses on helping homeowners, renters, and residential partners plan and execute seamless relocation experiences. The consultant will drive sales through business development, networking, and responding to inbound inquiries, while guiding clients through the moving process from initial consultation to project completion. Your Key Responsibilities & Duties Learn and understand residential relocation services and processes Conduct in-home and virtual surveys to accurately assess job scope, size, and pricing Provide consultative guidance to customers on moving services, options, and expectations Respond promptly to customer inquiries, questions, and concerns Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and moving crews to ensure successful outcomes Develop new business relationships with residential interior designers, realtors, builders, and home service professionals Build referral networks with property managers, apartment communities, and senior living communities Participate in networking events, community involvement, and industry organizations Demonstrate persistence, creativity, and energy in developing new business opportunities Maintain strong follow-up and pipeline management practices Represent Coakley Brothers with professionalism and a customer-first mindset Coakley Competencies Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities Honest, ethical, and professional business demeanor Confident and consultative sales approach Positive attitude with strong work ethic Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn company software systems Valid driver’s license required Flexibility to work extended hours during peak summer moving season and occasional weekend or evening walkthroughs Work Environment This position requires time spent outside of the office conducting in-home walkthroughs, engaging with clients, attending networking events, and visiting job sites. When not prospecting or servicing clients in the field, the expectation is that you are in the office focusing on CRM activity, outreach, pipeline development, and internal collaboration with the team. Physical Demands This position requires frequent walking, climbing stairs, and conducting in-home surveys using a tablet/iPad. Occasional light lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. What You Bring 2+ years of sales experience preferred (service-based or consultative sales a plus) Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals Experience with networking, referrals, and relationship-based selling preferred Success Looks Like Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, local market knowledge, and a customer-first mindset .
