Job Description
Design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable, high-performance SQL Server–based database and data platform solutions—including data warehouse, datamart, and data lake environments—that support Silfex's mission-critical operations and analytics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer SQL Server instances, clusters, SQL Agent jobs, and resource usage across environments.
- Ensure High Availability & Disaster Recovery readiness, including failover validation, backup/restore execution, and overall DR preparedness.
- Monitor and optimize database performance through proactive tuning, workload analysis, and index management.
- Support data warehouse, datamart, and data lake environments, ensuring reliable data flows and alignment with analytics requirements.
- Manage and monitor SSIS-based ETL pipelines and SSRS reporting deployments across Dev/QA/Prod.
- Automate routine DBA tasks to improve reliability, repeatability, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure security and compliance of all databases and portals, implementing best practices for data protection and access control.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database architecture, processes, controls, and security protocols.
- Maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training for new or less experienced team members.
- Stay current with emerging database technologies and security standards to recommend improvements and optimizations.
- Collaborate with self-directed and cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S. Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities. Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas to the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in engineering or IT, with a Bachelor's degree in a technology or relevant field; or 6 years experience with a Master's degree.
- Senior level experience with relational databases and SQL Server administration, including HA/DR concepts.
- Experience working with data warehouse and datamart environments, including core data modeling concepts.
- Experience supporting ETL and reporting environments (SSIS/SSRS or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex technical solutions.
