Junior Electrical Engineer

A Medical Device customer is seeking a junior-level Electrical Engineer to support a variety of electrical design, documentation, and cost-reduction initiatives. The primary focus will be on cable assemblies, wiring documentation, schematic development, and engineering support for product redesigns aimed at reducing manufacturing costs.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and maintain cable drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical documentation.
• Support large PCB and cable assembly projects through detailed engineering documentation.
• Analyze electrical components, wiring paths, and interconnections to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Assist with cost-reduction initiatives, including redesigning expensive aerospace-style cable assemblies into more cost-effective flat-flex solutions.
• Develop and update schematics and electrical designs.
• Utilize SolidWorks for cable design and documentation activities.
• Perform extensive data analysis, tracking, and documentation using Excel.
• Ensure designs adhere to industry cabling and harness standards.

Required Skills & Experience
• 0-3 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Experience creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Experience with SolidWorks.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with PCB/schematic design tools such as:
o Altium Designer
o KiCad
o OrCAD
o EAGLE
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 cabling and wire harness standards.
• Understanding of cable assemblies, wire labeling, routing constraints, and electrical interconnections.
• Exposure to PCB layouts and electronic hardware design environments.
