Salary: This position is in Salary Grade CS4, with a minimum salary of $25.26 per hour. The successful candidates salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the salary grade range.
Northeast Community College is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Admissions and Registration.
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and support to the Admissions and Registration department. The role serves as the School Certifying Official for students utilizing military educational benefits and ensures institutional compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. It also manages all grading administration and communication, working closely with Educational Services to ensure timely and accurate grade submission for all courses. Additionally, the position oversees graduation and commencement activities, including student regalia ordering and distribution, graduate communications, and overall commencement logistics.
This position also serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and supports the Associate Director of Admissions and Registration in maintaining the colleges compliance with federal regulations governing F-1 international students, as well as assisting with international student application and onboarding processes. Backup support is provided to Admissions and Registration Specialists during peak periods, including handling phone calls, application processing, registration processing, and other departmental functions. A high level of customer service is essential, particularly when working with international students and assisting with phone, email, and in-person inquiries related to admissions and registration processes.
Success in this role requires strong organizational, communication, and intercultural skills. Additional responsibilities include supporting academic advising, the testing center, marketing and recruitment efforts, and other departments across campus. The position also maintains awareness of institutional deadlines and procedures, adheres to FERPA guidelines, and stays current on regulations related to international student admissions and retention.
Requirements:
Education: Associate's degree required in a related field.
Experience: One to three years' experience required in a related field.
Skills: Applicant should possess strong attention to detail, work effectively as part of a team, and demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
