General SummaryThis position is responsible for the safe completion of work in the most efficient manner in their area of responsibility. The painter will be responsible for painting a variety of industrial surfaces, including equipment, machinery, walls, floors, ceilings, and other structures.Essential Functions:Operate and monitor automated powder coat paint line, including spray booths, ovens, and conveyor systemsLoad and unload parts onto the paint line in an efficient and safe mannerInspect parts before and after coating to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish qualityAdjust settings on equipment to maintain optimal coating performanceTroubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate more complex problems as neededPerform routine cleaning and maintenance of paint equipment and work areaMaintain proper powder levels and manage color changes when requiredFollow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of materialsWork closely with production team to meet daily output and quality goalsDocument production data, quality checks, and any issues encounteredApply coatings using electrostatic and non-electrostatic processesMaintains chemicals in the wash tankOperates thinner recyclerMove, hang, and remove materials as needed to using hoists, cranes, or other available methodsPerforms other duties assigned by the SupervisorExpectations:You will be expected to obtain the tools listed as “Minimum Required Tools” for your classification. Regular attendance and starting on time are essential. Responsible for the quality of own work and not to accept poor quality workmanship from others. Controls the preparation for and application of paint.
