Senior CADD Designer/Design Manager - Highways & Traffic

Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior CADD Designer/Design Manager to join our Highways & Traffic Engineering team! Our Highways & Traffic Engineering team works on a diverse range of transportation projects for a wide range of clients including DOT's, counties, municipalities, and contractors. Responsibilities Produce models, drawings, details, and other deliverables for proposals and public infrastructure projects including highways, streets, intersections, and multi-modal facilities. Create corridors and 3D surface models for design, estimating, and digital delivery. Collaborate with other leaders, as well as CED's Digital Technology Services Group, to create project workspaces for Bentley Software, maintain and apply CAD standards, and evaluate third party tools. Provide on-the-job mentoring to staff, identify and facilitate Bentley MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads training, and grow the skills of our engineers as designers. Provide quality control and assurance of design products developed by engineers, designers, and technicians. Assist project managers in developing cost-effective project budgets and workload planning. Supervise CAD production staff as required. Qualifications Associate's degree in engineering technology or the equivalent years of experience required. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and/or professional engineering licensure a plus. 7+ years of CAD design experience on highway transportation projects required. Experience with projects for state, county, and municipal transportation agencies required. NYSDOT, New York State county, New York State municipal, or New York State Thruway Authority experience a plus. Proficient in one or more of the following platforms: Bentley OpenRoads, Inroads Suite SS10, and/or MicroStation SS10/CONNECT. Transoft Solutions AutoTURN and GuideSIGN. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus. Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting. Ability to read, write, and understand English for the purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
