This Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunity is located in Hudson, FL. The role is well-suited for an RN with emergency nursing experience who is looking to provide direct, high-acuity patient care in a fast-paced ED environment.
The role. Working alongside physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, the ED RN conducts regular pain assessments and reassessments following intervention, and carries out procedures, monitoring, and other provider-ordered functions with thorough, timely documentation in the medical record. The nurse educates patients, families, and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and potential side effects — translating complex medical language into terms patients can clearly understand. Beyond the hospital stay, this RN prepares patients and their support networks for self-management by discussing follow-up care, disease prevention, nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle considerations.
What we're looking for.
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- (RN) Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 6 months of ED RN experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
Schedule. Full-time, night shift with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $33.85 - $47.02/hr plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
