Van Truckload Driver Instructor

Home time: Daily

Experience: 12 months or greater CDL experience

Job responsibilities

Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.
Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.
Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.
Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.
Teach driving skills that align with Schneiders guidelines and materials.
Show drivers how to use Schneiders electronic tablets and workflow system.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.
Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.

Skills qualifications

Previous instructor or training experience preferred.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
Demonstrates a positive, professional attitude.
Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneiders company policies and procedures.

Driver qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
DOT physical card.
Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
Live within 50 miles of Phoenix, AZ.
