DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON)Birch Healthcare Center

Birch Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic nurse leader who is committed to clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and delivering exceptional resident-centered care.

The Director of Nursing will provide strategic leadership for all nursing services while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, compassion, and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities Include:

• Direct and oversee all nursing operations within the facility

• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing managers and clinical staff

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

• Promote quality resident care through evidence-based clinical practices

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and workforce development

• Drive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives

• Maintain survey readiness and lead the facility through state and federal surveys

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes

• Manage departmental budgets and ensure efficient utilization of resources

• Build a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire

• Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred

• Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, and long-term care operations

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

• Demonstrated success in staff development, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement

• Ability to effectively lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team
