About the Company and Staff Accountant Opportunity:

CFS is working with a well-established multi entity organization to find a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role will support the small accounting team with day-to-day tasks and help keep financial records accurate and up to date.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and with a team.
Reports to the CFO

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

Help with daily accounting tasks like entering journal entries, recording payroll, and keeping financial records organized
Complete monthly account reconciliations (making sure numbers match bank and company records)
Review company credit card transactions and fix any errors or missing information
Assist with preparing basic financial reports for leadership
Work with other departments to make sure financial information is correct and submitted on time
Support the budgeting process and help track spending
Help get documents ready for audits and keep records in good order
Assist with tax filings and other required reports
Provide support to accounts payable and receivable when needed

Ideal Candidate Profile for the Staff Accountant Role:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus
2+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit, property management, or hospitality is a plus)
Friendly, professional, and able to work with different teams
Intermediate Excel skills (comfortable with spreadsheets and basic formulas)

Schedule: 100% on site M-F

Salary: $65,000-$75,000
