Support Specialist- Onsite Downtown LA

Job Title Support Specialist (Non-Exempt, Hourly Rate: $23 - $24 per hour) Primary Objective To provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the claims team, ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service through accurate documentation, communication management, and organizational support. Duties & Responsibilities Complete forms, letters and other communications with accuracy and attention to detail Set up and maintain paper and electronic files and databases Process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently Route internal and external inquiries to the proper source Perform administrative tasks including expense processing, maintaining office supplies, and assembling certified mail Handle copying, faxing, scanning and filing documents accurately and efficiently Complete additional duties as directed by supervisor or manager Competencies Interpersonal Skills: Oral communication – speaks clearly and professionally; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions Interpersonal Skills: Written communication – writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents information effectively Teamwork – balances needs of team with individual responsibilities; willing to assist others when needed; commits to following company procedures; demonstrates ethical behavior in all business dealings; handles and completes multiple tasks on a daily basis Customer Service – fully commits to the needs of internal and external clients; provides consistent and continuous support to team members and clients; works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines; acts professionally and responds promptly to requests; meets commitments and follows through on tasks Organizational Skills – attention to detail; maintains high accuracy in documentation and file management; time management – prioritizes tasks effectively and manages multiple responsibilities simultaneously; problem solving – identifies issues and seeks appropriate solutions or escalates when necessary; adaptability – flexibly handles changing priorities and work demands Computer Skills – demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn and use document management systems and databases; proficiency with office equipment (copiers, scanners, fax machines) Education & Experience High school degree or equivalent required; college degree preferred
