Respiratory Therapist

Location: Hollywood, Florida

Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care.

Job Summary

Provides care for patients on assigned units in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Join a team of imaging professionals supporting Memorial Healthcare System's six acute care hospitals. Work side by side with department staff across multiple facilities, delivering high-quality diagnostic care where it's needed most. As part of the District Float Pool, you'll contribute to a system that includes but not limited to: Memorial Regional Hospital, our flagship Level I trauma center and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, a Magnet recognized leader in pediatric care. Responsibilities

Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance support groups and other resources. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment. Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community. Demonstrates flexibility and competency to provide patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District to a variety of patient populations. Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.

Required to work throughout the South Broward Hospital District in various nursing units treating a diverse range of patients under changing circumstances and challenges in different settings.
