The role supports the EHS Director, Manager and Specialist in all areas applicable to OSHA general industry manufacturing as well as all Federal and State Environmental responsibilities typical to manufacturing operations. The majority of the time is spent on the manufacturing floor. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities Provide day-to-day support for all core OSHA programs and standards applicable to general industry manufacturing Support in the development and updates of OSHA and Environmental policies, programs and standards Lead incident investigations (first aid, near misses, recordable, environmental and property damage) with a team-based approach to problem solving and effective corrective actions Prepare and deliver EHS performance reports for leadership Implement sustainability and recycling initiatives Conduct EHS inspections and audits, generate reports and communicate findings Provide day-to-day technical safety and health advice and consultation to employees and contractors Train and certify employees on forklifts and P.I.Ts Identify and address at-risk behaviors and conditions Develop PowerPoint presentations, Excel documents, and maintain strong record‑keeping skills Other duties as assigned by the Director or Manager of Safety Minimum Qualifications 2 years related experience in general industry manufacturing environments Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10/30 card, environmental certifications, experience preferred Basic understanding of fire protection systems a plus, but not required Ability to learn Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory compliance Strong interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills in employee interactions Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of information Job Conditions Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment Subject to noise and temperature changes Physical Demands Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including Friday–Sunday 6am–6pm Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, often up to 35 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs Perform continuous, repetitive physical activities, including fine and large motions Grasp/pinch small items, reach, and turn wrist Keep pace with current production speed Push/pull with reasonable forceBend, stoop, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods Work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, dusty environment Equal Opportunity Employer JCB is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) employer in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
