Cook Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Cook to join our team at Arabella Health and Wellness Center, a leading provider of healthcare services in Carabelle, Florida. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents and patients. Cook Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes

• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment

• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items

• Safely utilize a variety of utensils

• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers

• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods

• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines

• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures

• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils

• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, residents, and co-workers

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation

• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager

Cook Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required; ServeSafe Certified, and LTC background preferred

• Proven knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations

• Basic math and counting skills

• Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs

Requirements

• Must be able to pass level 2 background screening fingerprinting with an Eligible status.
