Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR Certified Surgical Technologist to support a busy Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general surgical procedures and flexibility to work a 3x12 day shift schedule with holiday rotation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for procedures.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during a variety of surgical cases, including neuro, ortho, ENT, and robotics procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols throughout all surgeries.
• Manage pre- and post-operative patient setup and clean-up responsibilities efficiently.
• Floats between units and facilities as needed to meet surgical departmental demands.
• Comply with all certification requirements and maintain documentation, including BLS and radiation badges.

Qualifications:

• Hold NBSTSA certification and valid South Carolina RN license or certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, including neuro, ENT, or robotics cases preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC charting system.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse surgical specialties.
• Flexibility to work on-call shifts and rotating weekends.
• Hold current BLS and radiation badge certification.
