Shop HelperThe role of a Shop Helper involves assisting in day-to-day operations, maintaining cleanliness, and tidiness of the shop floor, along with organizing inventory and providing exceptional customer service. Tasks include restocking merchandise, operating relevant equipment, and ensuring a safe and well-presented retail environment.Functions:Assist in the daily operations of the shopClean and organize work areas, tool room, and equipmentUnload and load supplies and materials as neededAssist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment and machineryPerform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machineryAssist in inventory management and stock replenishmentProvide support to other staff members as neededComply with all safety regulations and proceduresFill in for parts runner as neededAssist in other departments as neededRequirements:Ability to lift heavy objects and equipmentBasic knowledge of tools and machinery used in a shop environmentGood communication skills to work collaboratively with fellow shop employeesAbility to follow directions and work independently when neededFlexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as requiredAttention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work areaPositive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasksValid Driver’s licensePhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
